IPL 2024 Prize Money: KKR Get Rs 20 Crore, SRH Rs 12.5 Crore. RR And RCB Earned

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season concluded on a spectacular note, with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) clinching their third title, while Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) had to settle for the runners-up position. Along with the glory of the trophy, KKR also pocketed a significant prize money of INR 20 crore, while SRH received INR 12.5 crore. The total prize money for IPL 2024 stood at INR 46.5 crore, which was not just limited to the top two teams.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), who finished third and fourth in the points table respectively, also earned a respectable amount of prize money. Sanju Samson's RR team received INR 7 crore for their third-place finish, while Faf du Plessis' RCB team got INR 6.5 crore.

Beyond the team prizes, individual players were also recognized for their outstanding performances. RCB's talismanic batter Virat Kohli won the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs in the tournament, while Punjab Kings' pacer Harshal Patel bagged the Purple Cap for taking the most wickets. Both Kohli and Patel received INR 10 lakh each for their achievements.

The IPL 2024 season witnessed some remarkable individual performances. Kohli, with 741 runs in 15 matches, had a remarkable season with the bat, scoring a century and five fifties. Patel, on the other hand, showcased his exceptional bowling skills, taking 24 wickets in 14 matches.

Other notable awards included the Striker of the Season, which went to Jake Fraser-McGurk for his impressive strike rate of 234.04, and the Catch of the Season, which was won by Ramandeep Singh. The Fair Play Award was given to SRH, while the Pitch and Ground Award went to the Hyderabad Cricket Association.
